At 10 am, Major General Denise M. Donnell who serves as the Assistant Adjutant General and as the Commander, New York Air National Guard, Latham, NY will speak about the variety of aircraft she has flown (C-5A, C-17A, C-130, LC-130, P-3C and T-44) and balancing a military career with family life, including the challenges of deployment. She will also touch on career opportunities for the younger generation. Donnell is presently the primary advisor on all Air Guard matters to the Adjutant General.
Major General Donnell received her BS degree in Foreign Service from Georgetown University in DC, and earned her commission through the Naval Reserves Officers Training Corps Program. Donnell was Commander for the 109 Maintenance Group where she oversaw utilization of the Commander of the 13th Air Expeditionary Group, McMurdo Station, Antarctica. A Command Pilot with more than 4,500 flight hours Major General Donnell lives in Clifton Park, NY with her husband and two children.
