January 20 from 8:30 am – 10:30 am at 250 Rudy Chase Drive, Glenville, NY 12302 (off Route 50). Enjoy an assortment of pancakes, french toast, eggs, sausage, potatoes, juice, coffee, tea, fruit and more. The breakfast is open to the public.
At 10 am, Mary Brant and Larry Zeglin will present a PowerPoint Presentation about the creation of the "Legacy Project", a respite for all Veterans, their families and the public who will experience a place of welcome, camaraderies, remembrance and even perhaps, vindication. Plans include a Welcome Center, Veterans Cafe, Military Museum, lounge and walking paths.
A lifelong resident of the BH-BL Community, Mary Brant serves as President of the Capital Region Veterans Memorial, Burnt Hills Fire Department Auxiliary and is a retired Colonel in the NY Air National Guard, Scotia (27 years) as well as retired from the Knolls Atomic Power Lab (27 years).
Born & raised in Schenectady County, Larry Zeglin is one of the founding members of the Capital Region Memorial and serves as Vice-President. Larry served with the U.S. Army 1018th SS and in 1968-1969 served in Da Nang, Vietnam. He is the Commander of VFW Post 4660 Glenville and is retired from Knolls Atomic Power Lab (40 years).
