Join us for breakfast and an engaging presentation on the seizure and rescue of the U.S. flagged container ship, Mayaguez. The 1975 incident is a harrowing tale involving pirates, LTV A-7D Corsair II and P-3 Orion surveillance aircraft, and a race against time to find the 40 crew members from the Mayaguez.
Enjoy an assortment of pancakes, French toast, eggs, sausage, potatoes, juice, coffee, tea, fruit and more. The breakfast is open to the public.
CAPT. William O'Brien (USN-Ret.) was Mission Commander of a P-3 Orion aircraft and was deployed on three tours to the South China Sea AOR during the Vietnam War. He spent 17 years flying the P-3B aircraft and served as the Commanding Officer of Patrol Squadron 66. CAPT.
